The story of

Dandelions

album Parachutes / 2022-07-07
sung poetry /guitar, vocals

Did you notice how quickly time passes? And how did you notice that? One of the time-counting elements for many is flowers as simple as dandelions. Always here, until they aren’t - and you know it’s getting colder, then. Out lives feel similar in a way.

"The time is passing - so is the instant beauty. "

With Dandelions, we went for minimalistic poetry in song form, depicting the time passing. The swift getting old of a dandelion is a parallel to aging & the way time and memories fly by us to be lost.

Dandelions also underlines the lack of respect and admiration for an older kind of beauty. People trying to look younger in this world of instant prettiness lead to a feeling of loneliness.

& lyrics

Dandelions glowing up our ways
 Dandelions growing in our days
 Always
 Ours
 Dandelions all over our arms
 Growing sparks

We all knew
 Dandelions, too
 Dandelions blown
 By the wind we own
 We knew

Why would be the yellow worth much more
Than the white and grey of Oldmoreshore
 Always
 On time
Parachutes just blown in our face
 Faded grace

We all knew
 Dandelions, too
 Dandelions blown
 By the wind we own
 We knew

And neither did they
 Neither will may
 Love the lost
 Love the losing
 The yellows of our choosing
 Turning grey

We all knew
 Dandelions, too
 Dandelions blown
 By the wind we own
 We knew
 We knew
 We knew

And dandelions, too
