The story of

Deck the Halls ('Tis the Season)

single / 2024-11-22
Christmas, holiday / piano, strings cello, vocals

This year, we’ve reimagined the 1862 holiday classic Deck the Halls in our own unique style. We kept the soul of the song but gave it a little &Tilly side that... kind of changed it all. You might be surprised at how the fa la las sound now – we certainly were with our first tries! And we fell in love with them all over again. While the melody might take some unexpected turns, we stayed true to a traditional folk feel, featuring upright bass, oboe, piano, celesta, and, of course, sleigh bells. It’s perfect for anyone tired of the same old holiday tunes.

"Those fa la las have never sounded this good. "

Let us share a few very inspiring and amusing comments we've received from music blogs around the world:

"Every holiday song should be this metaphysical." by The Wild Is Calling

& lyrics

Fa la la la
 Fa la la la
 Fa la la la la

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
'Tis the season to be jolly
Don we now our gay apparel
 Troll the ancient Yuletide carol

See the blazing Yule before us
(See the blazing Yule before us)
Strike the harp and join the chorus
(Strike the harp and join the chorus)
 Follow me in merry measure
 (Follow me in merry measure)
While I tell of Yuletide treasure
(While I tell of Yuletide treasure)
 While I tell of
 While I tell of

Fa la la la
 Fa la la la

Fa la la la
 Fa la la la la
 Fa la la la
 Fa la la la la
 Fa la la la
 Fa la la la la
 Fa la la la

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
 Fa la la la
'Tis the season to be jolly
 Fa la la la
 'Tis the season
