The story of

Stockholm Song

single / 2020-09-19
alternative rock / voices, guitars, bass, drum kit

Our first time doing a rock-ish, alternative indie-grunge-y track, the Stockholm Song is a song inspired by our great but a bit depressing time in - where else? - Stockholm. While really loving the city, we might have been talking and being sick more than actually exploring all that we wished to explore and being down more than expected. And you know what? It should be OK being so as well.

The song's idea was created in the Sörmlands museum in Nyköping, near the Airport, in the exposition part dedicated to Psychiatry. After all that happened in Stockholm, and with a tired mind, there was a board where visitors could comment on the past psychiatry methods and techniques... And Tilly wrote: "We're not okay... but sometimes that's okay." Around this phrase that resonated so much in our minds even later, the rest of the song was created after returning back home.

& lyrics

I like it when it rains
But once I'd like a dry face

 Feet are hurting just try
And give me something actually mine

 We're not okay
 But sometimes that's okay
 We're not okay
 But sometimes that's okay

 How pretty with a smile
Just makes me crazy to wear it a while

It's nice to rest in bed
But I'm sick sick sick of being sick to death

 We're not okay
 But sometimes that's okay
 We're not okay
 But sometimes that's okay

 I was here and saw
But even more content to talk through it all

I won't forget the grey sky
You, remember me with every passerby

 We're not okay
 But sometimes that's okay
 We're not okay
 But sometimes that's okay

 But sometimes that's okay
 Not okay
 But sometimes that's okay
