A gentle anthem for all those who fought… who wanted to blame the other one… who might have found themselves near the end of the relationship, or expecting it to happen… but then realized that everything is, and will be, okay, because the other person is the one this is all worth it for, and because love, however bumpy, however bitter, is the thing that saves you.
A mellow tune for sure, but full of hope and realization that sometimes, you just need to “swallow the bitter pill”, find beauty even in the wilted flowers… and you’ll arrive somewhere new and better, because you have the other person by your side.
The Bitter Pill is out now. A sister song to At a Cost (at least, in my head) – and one that wouldn’t exist without @anearlybird, who started it, wrote the base I then built on, and also played one of the guitars in it… A huge thank you to you, Stefano 💜 One more thank you to @dominicromano, who produced it – keeping it gentle while making it so rich 🙏
