Kindness, honesty, and owning your own mistakes are qualities I value strongly. And that honesty with myself is where Thieves was born – a contemplation of the mistakes we make in life, and a realization it’s just us who are, in the end, responsible, even if not directly – we’re thieves to our own happiness (and, as a result, often to others’ as well). A darker track, but there is a bit of hope in it, too, even if not at first glance. If you listen closely to the choruses, I ask, I beg to be proven wrong, I hope for a different point of view. Is there one?

Can I? Oh I could have grown Become my own But I came to an end And my mind just bent And we’re getting there Still snatching the fare But that was a fault I know I should have known I should have known I know I should have Make me believe Make me believe there is more Make me believe Make me believe there is more Make me believe Make me believe there is more Make me believe Make me believe I can be whole Can I behold? Can I?
