8.8 [ALBUM]

Nine months to release. Much more, even, and perhaps as much to make - mix, master, produce, fight over it… ^_^ Not even talking about writing, trying out, changing stuff in the process.

We're talking about the 8.8 album, our first (bedroom) studio album ever. And 8.8 is us. The surprised eyes when we found out we are the same and the exact opposites. The 8th of August of promises we promised to never make. And the beginning and the end.

For the 8.8 album, we've selected eight songs (out of the circa 90 we have) connected to moments of the &Tilly beginnings in 2019/2020. And those were not all light and bright. All of these mostly-acoustic sounds grow into complex simplicities thanks to a singer-songwriter's feel, strong melodies, soundscapes, and deeply poetic lyrics.

Finally, we can see how much work it takes, how much love and tears go in it…. but they are there, all being loved equally. A whole, small mind-universes in song form, poetry made music, our little roads to nowhere made into melodies.

We are just like you. And we have put it in the 8.8 album. Not a whole number, people that are not whole, but they are there, moving... slowly.
